It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve updated. Life had gotten pretty hectic for a while. I had a family issue that needed my attention for more than a month (good new things are looking up), then I went on vacation to Chicago for Star Wars Celebration! OMG it was so amazing. Couldn’t have asked for better people to go with. Huge thanks to my wife for the incredible anniversary gift. More on this in a separate post later.
While I have not had time to post I have been active. First up, the Sith Acolyte Mask is almost done. I’m not 100% happy with it, but I’ve learned a lot about the process of 3d printing and more important finishing a print to get a smooth top layer. Lessons learned can be as good as a nice product.
I’ve also got a big chunk of Walkers Jango Fett style helmet done. Just have the top dome then we can start assembly, smoothing, and paint! After seeing the trailer for the Mandalorian at Celebration I think we are both excited to get some movement on our Mando cosplay.
Consider this post a teaser and proof that I’m still alive! I’m going to be posting over the next few days about the crazy Cosplay at Star Wars Celebration. The incredible people I’m meeting at a monthly cosplay meet-up and some more progress on what I have in the queue!
My name is Chris Duffield. I live in New Brunswick Canada where I am the co-owner of a Comic and Board Game store. Along with the inspiration of my loving wife Jessica and aid of my assistant Harry (he’s a cat) I’m looking to have a space to share my hobbies and chronicle the process of creation.
